Hace unos dias se vio por las calles de Sao Paulo un afiche de ""Runner -una de las cadenas de gimnasios más renombradas del Brasil-con la foto de una chica escultural y la siguiente frase: "¿Este verano qué querés ser: sirena o ballena?"
Dicen que una joven mujer pero madura de Sao Paulo (cuyas características físicas nunca trascendieron) le envió este mail a la empresa "Runner" respondiendoles a su frase publicitaria...
"Las ballenas están siempre rodeadas de amigos. Tienen una vidasexual activa, se embarazan y tienen ballenitas de lo más tiernas. Las ballenas amamantan. Son amigas de los delfines y se lo pasan comiendo camarones...También se la pasan jugando en el agua y nadando por ahí, surcandolos mares, conociendo lugares maravillosos, como los hielos de la Antártida y los arrecifes de coral de la Polinesia. Las ballenas cantan muy bien y hasta tienen CD grabados. Las ballenas son enormes y casi noTienen predatores naturales. Las ballenas tienen una vida bien resuelta, son lindas y amadas por todos...
Las sirenas no existen. Si existieran, vivirían en permanentecrisis existencial. "¿Soy un pez o soy un ser humano?". No tienen hijos pues matan a los hombres que se encantan con su belleza. (Y yo agregaría que no tienen por donde hacer el amor. ¡Por Dios!). Son bonitas sí, pero tristes y siempre solitarias. (¿Quién quiere acercarse a una mujer que huele a pescado frito y que no tiene hoyito como salvavidas?).

P.D: En estos tiempos de mujeres anoréxicas y bulímicas, en quela prensa, las revistas, el cine y la tele nos meten a la fuerza enla cabeza que sólo as flacas son bellas, este mensaje trae nuevasesperanzas a las ballenitas y, ¿Por qué no?, a las sirenitas queno descansan un segundo pensando en su apariencia exterior. Yo prefiero disfrutar un helado junto a la sonrisa cómplice de mis hijos, una copa de vino con un hombre que me haga vibrar y una pasta exquisita con amigos que me quieren por lo que soy, no por cómo luzco.
A medida que envejecemos, ganamos peso. Esto ocurre porque acumulamosmucha informacion en nuestra cabeza. Mi cabeza, por no soportartanta informacion, comenzó a llenar el resto del cuerpo. Ahora entiendo que no soy gorda, "soy culta!"
